Jan 30th - Major Donnelly Land Preserve

On the hunt for the Northern Shrike that seems to have taken up winter residence at Major Donnelly Land Preserve. Walking into the park with the morning sun at my back, I spotted him in a distant tree. Before I could get a shot, he was off - not to be seen for the rest of the morning.
Near the park entrance I found a mixed group of foragers. With last night’s snowfall, they were scavenging seeds in the brush and on top of the snow.
